What is HiMate?
HiMate translates welcoming culture into an app and electronic coupons.
HiMate a 100% free coupon platform for refugees. The HiMate app gets goods and services from partner companies to registered refugees. HiMate is a kind of digital airlift: It quickly and easily helps refugees and provides companies with a channel through which to reach refugees directly and without much effort. At the same time it brings people together. Help gets exactly where it is needed -unbureaucratic and with maximum social impact.
The Name "HiMate" conveys what our idea is all about: "Hi Mate" is a casual form of saying "Hello" among friends. At the same time it resembles the German word "Heimat" (home place). HiMate wants to help refugees get started with their new life in Europe and feel home as fast as possible. How do we do that? Via vouchers that make people meet. Hi, Mate!
